The Continuing Education Unit organized a workshop on cholecystitis, which was lectured by Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Ziarat Khalaf, a faculty member at the college
The workshop included defining what cholecystitis is On how to deal with cholecystitis patients As well as explaining the function of the gallbladder in the human body and how gallstones are formed, as well as how to deal with stones surgically, as well as the symptoms that accompany cholecystitis and clinical signs, as well as the diagnosis similar to cholecystitis. Treatments were also addressed in both conservative treatment with medications, nutrients and surgical operations The workshop recommended the necessity of using modern methods to diagnose the disease using ultrasound For everyone, especially women over the age of 40 and pregnant women. We also recommend the preventive removal of gallstones for patients who suffer from obesity as well as diabetes.
