The College of Education for Pure Sciences, Department of Chemistry, University of Basrah organized a scientific trip to the chemistry laboratories at Al-Najibiya Power Plant, accompanied by the lecturers Prof. Dr. Abbas Dawas Matar, Assistant Professor Raneen Salem Suwadi, Assistant Professor Khansa Saqr Saud, Assistant Professor Maitham Najm Abboud, Assistant Professor Abdul Jalil Muhammad Abdul Jalil. The visit included the water and steam treatment laboratory, the oil laboratory, the environmental laboratory, and the tests affiliated with the laboratories, which are the acidity function test, electrical conductivity test, and hardness ion test, as well as biological tests for industrial water and treatment methods using ion exchangers, and learning how to control the technical specifications and operational parameters of water in thermal electric units.
