The College of Dentistry at the University of Basra organized a scientific lecture on the mechanical properties of restorative materials used in dentistry.
The lecture aims to provide an understanding of the basic mechanical properties of vital dental materials and how they affect the expected life of the material and its effectiveness through the post-manufacturing stage.
The lecture, which was given by Assistant Professor Dr. Rafid Mustafa Badr, included an explanation of a number of these properties and the importance of each of them within the international specifications for dental restorative materials, as the mechanical properties of materials are known to be variable and not fixed, as they change according to the surrounding situation inside the mouth.
