Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab The Continuing Education Unit at the college, with the participation of the Continuing Education Center at Bab Al-Zubair Complex, organized a workshop on Safety, Health and Occupational Health, in which Dr. Zuhair Salem Abdul Razzaq, a faculty member at the college, lectured. The target group was the employees of the University of BasraThe workshop dealt with several axes, the most important of which are:
Defining occupational safety and health, general safety steps, and the general goals that occupational safety and health seek to achieve. The workshop comes within the efforts of the Deanship of the College of Nursing aimed at caring for cadres and employees in workplaces and places of residence, training them and educating them on methods of protection from risks while performing duties and work, establishing concepts of occupational safety among them, and providing a safe and healthy work environment for all.
The workshop stressed the importance of implementing effective safety policies, and providing comprehensive and integrated care for workers and employees, through regular training, and commitment to protecting them, to reduce the risks they may be exposed to during work.
