Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab The Continuing Education Unit at the College, in cooperation with the Basra Health Department, organized an awareness symposium on antibiotic resistance. The session was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Sundus Baqir Dawood, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and was lectured by the pharmacist, Alaa Muhammad Mahmoud
The symposium included an introductory overview of the Antibiotic Control Division affiliated with the Basra Health Department and its role in educating medical cadres and students of the medical group. The symposium explained training the student to deal with medicines in conjunction with the World Antibiotic Awareness Day. During the symposium, statistics were presented that included the percentage of diseases in Basra, the basic methods for educating nursing cadres and reducing the percentage of resistance within health institutions and their effective role in this topic At the end of the symposium, the lecture was given A shield of thanks and appreciation, and the Dean praised the great efforts made in the symposium in a manner befitting the University of Basra and the College of Nursing, and in the hope of holding more events for the scientific information they add that enriches the scientific archive of the university in general and the college in particular.
