The Continuing Education Unit at the College organized a workshop on Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, which was lectured by Dr. Ahmed Thamer Saud, a faculty member at the College
The target group was a group of employees of the University of Basra. The workshop addressed the importance of first aid for cardiac resuscitation and addressed the most important things that must be followed in the event of a cardiac arrest or sudden cardiac arrest and the global measures that must be followed when performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The practices were applied practically in front of the participants and each one of them was taught how to perform chest compressions and give artificial respiration. At the end of the workshop, a discussion session was held to identify the most important things that can be focused on to save the patient in the event of a problem at the heart level
