With direct follow-up from Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, our college organized an inspection visit to the Specialized Children's Hospital for Children with Cancer in Basra. A number of faculty members participated, along with all college students.The visit aimed to see the conditions of children with cancer, stand by them, raise their morale, and add joy and happiness to their souls.The visit was made in the field to the hospital, which includes a number of children with cancer and blood diseases from Basra Governorate and a number of governorates in southern Iraq. During the visit, gifts and some financial grants were presented to them, which encourages the need to provide volunteer work that can serve this category of sick children.Lecturer Farhan Laith Aiz, one of the professors accompanying the team, stated that the visit was among the ongoing and supportive activities carried out by the college to Basra Specialized Children's Hospital, as well as providing psychological support and gifts to sick children.For his part, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, Dean of the College, confirmed the College’s intention to continue visits and provide support to children with cancer to stand by them and raise their morale.
