Under the patronage of the president of the University of Basra, Dr. Mohannad Jawad al-Asadi, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Zahra Mohammed, the Continuing Education Unit organized a lecture entitled An applied study on bronze casting techniques.
The lecture aims to teach students of the fourth stage in the faculties of Fine Arts to cast their sculptural works with bronze material and identify the molds intended for casting this material.
The lecture presented by Dr. Qahtan Adnan Kamel included a detailed explanation of the techniques of casting bronze by multiple molds.it was necessary to review a historical reading about this material, its properties, composition, how this material developed in the manufacturing processes in previous daily life and the extent of its use to reach expression and aesthetics in contemporary art.
