A symposium was held in the General Secretariat of the Central Library, in cooperation with the College of Arts, entitled (Mental health and its impact on performance among employees of the Central Library at the University of Basra). The symposium aimed to enlighten the employees of the Central Library at the University of Basra on what mental health is and what are the standards that affect the psychological health of the employee. The symposium addressed the standards that It enhances the mental health of the library employee, the most important of which is how to achieve balanceBetween work and personal life and how the employee can deal with professional stress.
The symposium, which was delivered by the experienced professor in psychology and psychological counseling (Dr. Batoul Ghaleb Al-Nahi), included the most important strategies that enhance support and effective communication between the employee, management, and beneficiaries, and focused on the most important strategies for time management and psychological stress, as the focus was on (the Pomodoro strategy).For time management, in addition to the seminar’s focus on training employees on the most important relaxation strategies Problem solving and conflict resolution strategies.
