Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Marine Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifa, the Educational Guidance Unit, in cooperation with the Student Activities Unit at the College of Marine Sciences, organized an awareness seminar entitled "Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, Their Social and Legal Impact, and Methods of Treatment." Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
The seminar was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Karim Zayer Al-Muzani, Head of the Educational Guidance Unit, and Lieutenant Colonel Muntadher Kazim Ne'ma from the Community Police Division in Basra.
The seminar addressed important awareness topics related to the effects of drugs and psychotropic substances on society, the legal aspects associated with them, and the most prominent therapeutic methods for dealing with this phenomenon.
