The Continuing Education Unit organized an educational and awareness seminar on
the ideal treatment of students during work in the hospital, which was lectured by Lecturer Afkar Fadhel Karim, Head of the Nursing Basics Branch, Lecturer Luay Abdul Wahid Shihab, Head of the Medical Sciences Branch, and Assistant Lecturer Saadoun Abbas Ali, a faculty member. During the seminar, the lecturers emphasized the importance of developing conversation and communication skills as an essential aspect of providing high-quality health care. In addition, they provided practical insights and real-life examples, explaining how these skills can enhance the relationship between the university nurse and the patient, and lead to better diagnosis and more effective treatment. The students interacted in the symposium, participating in the discussion that aimed to hone their communication skills, and they confirmed that the workshops and lectures learned from this symposium will undoubtedly serve as a strong foundation for their future success in the field of nursing sciences. On the other hand, the commitment of the Deanship of the College of Nursing to provide students with such experiences highlights the dedication to providing the best practical experiences for students and joining them to the labor market early.
