The Department of geoscience at the college of Science/ University of Basrah organized a scientific field trip to gravel and sand quarries in Zubair district for students of the course of Economic Geology c٣١٥ which aimed to introduce students to how these sand-gravel deposits originated and the steps of conducting field modeling of rock layers and identifying the types of rocks and geological structures in the area in addition to how to calculate the reserve of these deposits. The field work was supervised by A. M. Dr. Safa Hussain and M. M. Sacrificed a favor.
