The College of Dentistry at the University of Basra held a celebration on the occasion of the Iraqi Victory Day and the complete liberation of the homeland, with the participation of the college students and its teaching and administrative staff.
The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Asaad Muhammad Kazim, said in a speech during the ceremony that the great victory day has great connotations because it was exceptional, as the martyrs and fighters faced the most dangerous terrorist presence in history, and its connotations include strengthening national and ideological affiliation, which appeared in everyone's response to the fatwa of the religious authority, and the national cohesion of the sons of the Iraqi people, noting that this victory was achieved by the fatwa of the religious authority, the blood of the martyrs and leaders, and the heroism of the fighters from the Popular Mobilization Forces and the armed forces.
The celebration witnessed the national anthem and the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, and the recitation of a number of poems that show the heroism of our heroic fighters from the sons of the Popular Mobilization Forces and our armed forces, and a video clip produced by the Media and Government Communications Division in the college showing the heroism of our sons from the army and the Popular Mobilization Forces.
The college was decorated with Iraqi flags, expressing pride in the national identity. For his part, the dean of the college stressed that the victory celebration is a message of support and gratitude to the security forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces who sacrificed their lives in order to achieve victory.
