The College of Dentistry at the University of Basra organized a scientific lecture entitled endocrowns compared to post-core retained crowns for teeth treated with root canal fillings.
The scientific lecture aims to discuss the possibility of using partial crowns for posterior teeth instead of full crowns or supporting final fillings with special pegs.
The lecture, which was given by the assistant lecturer, Ala Mohammed Abdul-Kazem, Department of Dental Treatment, included a detailed explanation of how to prepare teeth clinically and in the laboratory, the materials used, and the methods of fixing indirect crowns.
The scientific lecture recommended the necessity of preserving teeth treated with root canal fillings by moving towards partial crowns in order to increase the durability and function of the teeth.
