The Finance and Investment Department at the College of Administration and Economics – Qurna Organizes an Educational Trip to the National Insurance Company and the College of Physical Education
The Finance and Investment Department at the College of Administration and Economics – Qurna, University of Basra, organized an educational trip for the fourth-year students (both morning and evening shifts) to the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and the National Insurance Company on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. This trip was part of the department's scientific activities aimed at enhancing the practical and cognitive aspects of students' education.
The students were accompanied by Dr. Arfat Nasser Jassim and Assistant Lecturer Bilal Nouri Khairallah, who emphasized the importance of such scientific visits in linking the theoretical knowledge students gain during their studies with its practical applications in various university institutions. The trip included a tour of the infrastructure and teaching equipment at the College of Physical Education and a look into the types and procedures of insurance at the National Insurance Company, as well as an explanation of the significance of each department within the company and the services it offers.
At the end of the trip, students expressed their happiness and gratitude for the opportunity to enhance their scientific knowledge and gain insights from real-world experiences that will help enrich their future skills. It is worth mentioning that this trip is part of the department's plan to align educational outcomes with the needs of the labor market, reinforcing the role of scientific trips in preparing qualified personnel to manage projects efficiently and professionally.
