The Deanship of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra held a memorial service for the death of student Mustafa Ali Dawood, a first-year evening study student, as a result of an unfortunate accident. The deceased was characterized by high morals, a good soul, good upbringing and morals, as attested by all his professors and colleagues, and the impact of his departure from professors, affiliates and students.
The Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, said in a condolence speech, “We feel that the deceased is one of our sons, and his departure affected us as it affected his colleagues and professors, as the Deanship of the College cares for all students and looks at them with a fatherly and brotherly eye, both academically and socially. We ask God Almighty to have mercy on the soul of the deceased and to grant him a spacious place in heaven and to inspire his family and those with patience and solace.”For her part, Assistant Professor Dr. Sundus Baqir Dawood, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, expressed her deep sorrow for the loss of a diligent and well-mannered student from his department, praising him for his academic excellence and good character, indicating that the entire department is one body and the loss of one of its members is a pain for everyone, calling on God to have mercy on the deceased and protect all students of the college from all harm.
The faculty, staff, students and all its staff offered their condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased. We ask God Almighty to grant him a place in His spacious gardens, for He is All-Hearing and All-Answering.
