The College of Nursing at the University of Basra organized today, Tuesday, January 14, 2025, a celebration of the birth anniversary of Prince Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in the presence of faculty members, employees, and a large gathering of college students.
The celebration included speeches, poems, chants, and religious songs that embody the heroic and immortal missionary role of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and his fragrant biography in defending the Noble Prophet Muhammad (may God bless him and his family) and the true Muhammadan Islam.The celebration aimed to shed light on the positions of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and his great virtues that formed an essential part of Islamic history, while emphasizing the values he left for future generations.
In their speech, Professor Dr. Abdul Amir Abdullah Al-Moussawi and Lecturer Farhan Laith Aiz, members of the teaching staff, touched on the wisdom and virtues of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and their emphasis on the importance of knowledge and learning it, and his continuous call to acquire knowledge and spread it among people, and his focus on the importance of time, and making the most of every moment in a person's life. For his part, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, stressed that celebrating the birth of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, is not just a religious occasion, but rather an opportunity to remind people of the high values that everyone should strive to achieve in their daily lives, especially in the field of knowledge and good work.
