University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on "How Strategic Management Contributes to Your Business Success"

The College of Administration and Economics - Qurna, Department of Project Management at the University of Basrah, organized a workshop titled "How Strategic Management Contributes to Your Business Success." The workshop targeted fourth-year students in the department and focused on enhancing participants' understanding of different organizational strategies and their role in achieving institutional success.

The workshop was presented by several fourth-year students from the Department of Project Management:

• Sarah Zuhair Mai
• Haider Jawad Hadi
• Zahraa Yaseen

Under the supervision of Assistant Prof. Dr. Basma Kazar Hassan and Assistant Prof. Dr. Wissan Hadi Fihan, the workshop covered several key topics:

1. Strategic management as a comprehensive philosophy that lays the foundations for achieving growth and institutional success.
2. Environmental analysis, goal setting, and strategy implementation.
3. How strategic management enables organizations to adapt to changes and achieve their long-term vision.

The study concluded that strategic management plays a vital role in supporting leadership through:

1. Enhancing operational efficiency: By improving the use of human, material, and technological resources.
2. Increasing competitiveness: By formulating competitive strategies based on innovation and quality.
3. Effectively achieving objectives: Ensuring all activities align with organizational goals.
