The lecturer, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Shaker Hashem, from the Department of Marine Biology, in cooperation with some professors from the Faculty of Agriculture, used algae extracts by spraying them on some field and garden plants as an alternative to the chemical fertilizers used to increase their productivity and to include them in the nutritional medium used for the plant tissue culture technique used to propagate plants.
