As part of raising awareness of the importance of preserving the environment, the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a cleaning campaign under the title "Our Environment is More Beautiful with Our Hands" on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in cooperation with the Student Activities Department and with the participation of a number of students from the Chemistry Department and college professors.
The campaign included cleaning green spaces and public facilities within the university campus, as participating teams were distributed to various areas to collect waste and improve the environmental landscape. Awareness workshops were also organized on the importance of preserving the environment and the necessity of effective participation in preserving it.
The main goal of the campaign is to enhance environmental awareness among students and invite them to contribute to improving the environment, stressing that teamwork contributes greatly to achieving the campaign's goals.
The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Majid Muhammad Jassim, also expressed his pride in the college students and their active participation in the "Our Environment is More Beautiful with Our Hands" campaign. He stressed the importance of such initiatives in enhancing environmental awareness and developing a spirit of cooperation and belonging among students. He also called on everyone to continue efforts to preserve the environment, stressing that every small step contributes to achieving a cleaner and more beautiful environment.
