The General Secretariat of the Central Library, in cooperation with the Faculty of Arts, organized a workshop entitled Common Linguistic Errors in Theses and Dissertations. The workshop, which was lectured by Dr. Damir Lafta and Dr. Ghosoun Aziz Nasser and moderated by Dr. Maha Jawad Nassar, aimed to overcome the mistakes made by graduate students, which at the same time affect the quality of their theses and their scientific and performance evaluation. The workshop included the common objectives in writing the elements of scientific theses and dissertations, including errors in the title of the thesis, in the introduction, in the formulation of research objectives and hypotheses, scientific terminology, scientific method, style, language, and errors related to the ethics of the scientific researcher. While Dr. Damir Lafta addressed the most prominent linguistic errors in structure and meaning and stating the correct alternatives. The workshop lasted for three days.
