The Council of the University of Basrah - College of Medicine held its tenth regular session under the chairmanship of the Dean of the college of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Nawfal Ali Al-Mubarak, in the presence of the assistants and all members of the council.
Attendees were congratulated on the occasion of the college obtaining full accreditation by the National Accreditation Council for Medical Colleges in Iraq.
The Council discussed the latest developments related to scientific promotions and And the necessity of adhering to academic and administrative standards. The Council emphasized the importance of following up on the procedures in an accurate and organized manner to ensure the speedy promotion of deserving college members.

The proposed titles of postgraduate research have been approved, in addition to identifying the thesis and dissertation defense committees.
The council also addressed some issues concerning the College members in the college and reviewed proposals for improving the academic work environment. It emphasized the necessity of collaboration between different departments, as well as the importance of providing continuous support and guidance to College members to encourage them to achieve the best academic results.
