The University of Basrah at the College of Medicine , organized a scientific seminer on the risks of the spread of antimicrobial resistance, presented by the Director of the Antimicrobial Resistance Control Division, Dr. Alaa Mohammed Mahmoud. The seminer discussed the rates of resistance in Basrah, its effect on public health, and the importance of rationalizing the use of antibiotics. Strategies to reduce the spread of resistance were also reviewed, including enhancing monitoring programs, community awareness, and cooperation between medical staff. The session concluded with useful discussions on the proposed solutions to address this health challenge.
