The College of Education for Girls at the University of Basra organized a scientific symposium entitled "Developing the motor sense of the autistic child: A strategic guide for integration and growth"
The symposium included three axes. In the first axis, Dr. Hanaa Abdul Nabi presented a comprehensive presentation on the role of the motor sense in the development of the autistic child and the latest scientific studies in this field.
The lecturer, Mutab Al-Rikabi, demonstrated practical strategies to enhance motor skills in autistic children, and stressed the importance of early intervention in improving the quality of life for children with autism.
Professor Munther Abdul Sattar, Director of Janat Institute, reviewed the institute's experience in providing sensory integration programs for children with autism, and discussed the most prominent challenges facing families and specialists in this field.
The symposium aimed to demonstrate the importance of cooperation between the family, specialists, and educational institutions in achieving the best results for children with autism. And to enhance community awareness of the importance of developing the motor sense in children with autism. Integrating sensory motor activities into educational curricula and rehabilitation programs.
The symposium recommended the need to provide training workshops for parents and specialists on the latest therapeutic and rehabilitation methods. Support scientific research and projects that focus on sensory-motor integration for children with autism.
