The workshop, which was managed by a number of faculty members, addressed the geographical and demographic effects resulting from the Baath Party's policy, and the impact of these crimes on the educational process and curricula that were subject to the party's directives.
The psychological effects left by these crimes on individuals and Iraqi society in general were also addressed, in addition to their profound effects on the Iraqi language and culture.
The workshop focused on the history of repression and tyranny practiced by the party against various groups and segments of society, especially its targeting of religious institutions, and discussed international positions on these crimes, and how international literature dealt with these violations, which still leave traces on the collective memory of Iraqis
