The two lecturers from the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra, Dr. Abbas Abdul Hassan Kazim, and the lecturer Makram Jamal Abbas, participated in the Fifth International Conference on Geospatial Technologies and Smart Cities, which was held remotely.
The participation included presenting a joint research entitled "Motives of Residential Mobility in the City of Basra and its Spatial Relationship between Residential Mobility Variables Using Statistical Analysis Criteria", and the research results showed the rates of movements stimulating residential transfers in the city of Basra for the year 2023.
The research aimed to identify the motives of residential mobility in the city of Basra for the year (2023), and to predict future residential movements in the city, which witnessed residential movement for many families inside and outside neighborhoods for many reasons
