The College of Dentistry at the University of Basra organized a scientific lecture entitled "Lateralization of inferior alveolar nerve for dental implant procedure"
Dentistry provides us with many therapeutic procedures and cosmetic solutions necessary for oral, gum and dental health. Dental implants are one of the successful and important specialties in our time, but they are not simple in all cases and may require other interventions before the implantation process itself.
The lecture aims to educate on the importance of dental implants with the importance of focusing on the most appropriate option for dental implant cases to obtain ideal results and avoid or reduce complications.
The lecture, given by Dr. Ahmed Mustafa Al-Ta'mah, included that the dental implantation process is considered a compensatory procedure for damaged teeth that are not amenable to conservative treatments or missing teeth, as the dentist implants a titanium metal instead of the lost molar, by placing an implant inside the jaw bone, which takes the place of the tooth root at the bottom, and there is also a tooth crown, which is the part that is placed on top of the tooth to give the tooth its shape and function.
