The Radiology Department of the Surgery Department at the University of Basrah at the College of Medicine , under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Nawfal Ali Al-Mubarak, in cooperation with the Department of General Surgery and the Basrah Health Directorate, and with the support of Aspen Health Care, held a scientific symposium on Thyroid Day. The symposium aimed to discuss the latest developments in radiological diagnostic methods, as well as discuss some practical cases, histological examinations, and some of the challenges and problems in diagnosing thyroid diseases. The symposium included lectures by a group of lecturers and doctors, with the aim of increasing the awareness of doctors and surgeons about the modern techniques used in diagnosing thyroid diseases, some of the challenges facing diagnosticians, and the adoption of modern diagnostic systems.
