The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basra organized an awareness lecture on Foot-and-Mouth Disease.
The aim of the lecture was to educate breeders and farm owners about the disease, its prevention methods, and the treatment procedures followed. The lecture, delivered by Dr. Israa Abdul-Wadud Al-Saad at the Najibiyah Thermal Station, included information about the disease, its transmission methods, and the importance of ensuring the safety of animal products such as meat and dairy, with an emphasis on the fact that the disease does not transfer from humans to animals.
