General secretariat of the central Library has Organised a library course in the field of indexing and classification. The aim of this course is to improve the educational reality and develop the capacities and skills of employees working in the Central Library and sub-libraries at the University in the field of providing the best library services to library users , including students, professors, and interested readers. This course is presented by a number of professors from department of Information and Libraries, Faculty of Arts. The seminar includes introduction the importance of the Dewey Decimal classification, quantity of information resources organisation according to the approved scientific classification, in a scientific and professional way, getting to know the main schedules , giving exercises , practical examples , and comprehensive explanations of moder indexes, subject and descriptive indexing which represents the card or identity of information sources
