The course, presented by Dr. Asaad Muhammad Redha and Dr. Anwar Abdul Wahab Makki, addressed the importance of using microorganisms to support environmental sustainability. This is due to the role microorganisms play in essential environmental functions such as waste management, biological treatment, enhancing agricultural productivity, and mitigating the effects of climate change. Beneficial microorganisms can be leveraged to promote environmentally friendly practices and improve environmental health.
The course aimed to adopt microbial solutions as a viable alternative to traditional heavy chemical inputs to achieve sustainable development.
