The College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Veterinary Hospital, performed surgery on the ewe sheep suffering from a metatarsal fracture.
The veterinary surgical team performed the operation on the ewe sheep showing clinical signs of a compound fracture, which is a rare condition needs for surgery.
The operation was successful, stabilizing the fractured metatarsal bones after conducting all necessary tests. Suitable treatment was administered, and the sheep was followed up after the operation to ensure full recovery.
