The thesis presented by the researcher (Sherifa Ahmed Talib) included the calculation of the dose rate of kamma rays of liquefied water and surface water in Basra Governorate using the thermal fluorescence technique, which is one of the important techniques in measuring radiation doses, especially the low doses.
The mission aims to ensure the safety of wastewater, surface water from radioactive contamination, and its suitability for use.
The thesis concluded that the average dose of gamma radiation for liquefied water and surface water is within the permissible limit, meaning that it is considered not radioactively contaminated.
The thesis recommended the use of thermal fluorescence technology to measure the kama radiation dose of drinking water in Basra Governorate.
