Dr. Enas Abdel Aziz Abboud Al-Nasser, a lecturer at the University of Basra and director of the Scholarship Capabilities Unit, participated in her capacity as a member of the Central Committee for Scholarship Capacities at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and a member of the Supreme Preparatory Committee. In the proceedings of the first national conference for Iraqi scholarships, which was held on April 15, 2025 in Al-Hakim Hall - University of Baghdad, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister, Professor Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and in the presence of an elite group of university leaders, academic staff, and scholarship students.
The University of Basra was represented at this national scientific conference by Professor Dr. Haider Khazal, Assistant to the University President for Scientific Affairs, along with a distinguished group of university scholarships, who actively contributed to the dialogue sessions and specialized workshops that dealt with ways to benefit from the energies returning from scholarships and mechanisms for integrating them into the fields of higher education and scientific research.
The conference witnessed the launch of a number of initiatives and decisions supporting scholarship students, in addition to discussing the challenges they face after returning to Iraq, and the importance of optimal investment of their expertise within national development projects.
Dr. confirmed. Inas, in a statement, stressed the importance of building an integrated institutional base within Iraqi universities to embrace the returning energies, stressing the University of Basrah’s commitment to providing a stimulating environment to activate the roles of scholarship students in research, teaching, and administration, in line with the Ministry’s visions and strategic plans in developing human resources.
