Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Basra University, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, the College's Continuing Education Unit organized a workshop on the Storage and Handling of Chemical and Biological Materials. Lecturers included Assistant Lecturer Zahraa Mahmoud, Assistant Lecturer Zainab Alaa, and Assistant Lecturer Tadhamon Sabah.The workshop targeted faculty and laboratory staff and covered several main topics. The first topic covered the correct methods for storing biological materials in laboratories. The second topic addressed the correct methods for storing chemicals in laboratories.
The third topic addressed the most important risks facing laboratory workers, as well as the most important methods for dealing with laboratory hazards. It also addressed the use of the CAT ministerial program in laboratory management.
