Under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, the Continuing Education Unit, as part of the Community Health Nursing Branch's activities, organized a scientific lecture on Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Biliary and Pancreatic System (MRCP). The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Firas Abdul Qader Jassim, Head of the Community Health Branch, Assistant Professor Dr. Hisham Hussein Abdul Raouf, and Professor Dr. Sajjad Salem Issa.
The lecture covered the definition of MRCP technology, an explanation of its working principle, and the difference between MRCP and other imaging techniques such as ERCP and CT. The lecture also addressed the indications for using MRCP in the evaluation of biliary and pancreatic diseases, as well as an explanation of its contraindications and potential complications.
