The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on active ingredient extraction techniques by using the Soxhlet extractor.The workshop aimed to explain the various techniques used to extract active ingredients from plants by using the soxhlet device. The workshop, presented by Dr. Nourse Abdul-Ilah Alwan and Dr. Ahlam Ali Abdul Nabi ;were included explain the extraction methods and the most important devices used to achieve this goal , including the Soxhlet device, its mechanism of action, its uses, and the types of extracted natural therapeutic compounds, which are using to treat many diseases without side effects.
