The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research held a meeting with a delegation from the Iraqi Council of Representatives, during which they discussed the prospects for integration and cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel-Saheb, expressed during the meeting held at the Ministry's headquarters, the eagerness of educational institutions to provide appropriate climates responsible for supporting and developing community service in cooperation with the competent committees in the House of Representatives.
In turn, the parliamentary delegation, which included the head of the Education Committee, Dr. Muqdam Al-Jumaili, and members of the Education, Integrity, Martyrs and Education Committees, appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education and its competent departments in crystallizing the mechanisms and decisions that regulate the admission of students and accommodate their exceptional numbers and complete the requirements of the current academic year in public and private universities.
The meeting agreed on a decision to increase the morning (parallel) government admission plan by 10% in public universities, and the application will be through the studies portal at the beginning of next week, while the application form will be opened again for teachers who are accredited within the next few days.
