Assist. Prof. Dr. Nayyef Mohsen Azeez discussed doctoral thesis by the student Qasim Mohammed Abdul-Hussein in the College of Education for Pure Sciences / Department of Biology. The thesis included a study of the concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons and heavy metals in some Euphrates River sites in Dhi Qar province. The thesis emphasized the importance of treating wastewater before discharging it to the river .
