The Marine Science Center at the University of Basra organized an educational course on the applications of bioinformatics in biotechnology. The course, presented by lecturer Hala Fadhel Hassan, provided an introduction to bioinformatics, the relationship between this science and information technology, and an introduction to basic and modern technologies, as well as how to apply and utilize them in various fields. Bioinformatics is considered a branch of biotechnology, and its most important applications in various other sciences were also highlighted. The course's goal is to provide an understanding of this science, how to use related tools, and how to employ them correctly in analyzing results.
