The Dean of the University of Basrah at College of Medicine , Professor Dr. Nawfal Ali Al-Mubarak, participated in the scientific symposium held by the Iraqi Society for Medical Research and Studies in cooperation with the University of Basrah at the College of Medicine on the treatment of bronchial asthma in critical cases. Professor Dr. Nawfal Ali Al-Mubarak gave a lecture at the symposium entitled (The Role of Intensive Care in Recalcitrant Bronchospasm) in which he discussed the role of intensive care in saving the lives of asthma patients in emergency rooms. Consultant Professor Dr. Fateh Al-Khaqani also gave a lecture entitled (Management of Asthma Crises in Emergency Rooms) in addition to a lecture by the sponsoring company delivered by Pharmacist Dr. Awab Faiq. The symposium witnessed a distinguished attendance of a number of doctors and those interested in health affairs.
