A master's thesis at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra examined "Family Problems and Disputes in Arab-Islamic Society until the End of the Umayyad Era." The thesis, submitted by student Ahmed Shaker Mahmoud, aimed to study the reality of family problems and disputes from a historical and social jurisprudential perspective, with regard to dowry and marriage disputes, child problems, domestic violence, divorce, and inheritance.
