On the occasion of the month of Muharram and the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein ibn Ali (PBUH), his family, and his companions, we offer our condolences to the Master of the Age (may God hasten his reappearance).
Based on the Almighty's saying, "That is so. And whoever honors the symbols of God - indeed, it is from the piety of hearts." God Almighty is Truth.
Among the symbols of God is consoling the family of the Prophet in their grief. Therefore, based on this principle, the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, under the direct supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, has established a mobile medical detachment consisting of faculty members and students from the college from Basra to Karbala to support the Imam Hussein (PBUH) Pilgrimage.
All the pilgrims' needs were met during their journey to Karbala in the College of Nursing's procession. This medical detachment was provided with all the necessary equipment to effectively serve the pilgrims.
The college instructor and head of the medical detachment, Professor Farhan Laith Ayez, added, "We must be sincere in all our work, especially when it comes to Imam Hussein, because our servant has been sincere to us with his blood and everything he owns."
In his speech, Al-Nawab said, "Serving the pilgrims is an honor for us," and he encouraged his students to emulate the morals of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), to cultivate their souls in this enlightened path, and to adhere to his principles.
