The functional course, held by the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra for members of the Basra Municipality Directorate in Basra Governorate, concluded. The course aimed to develop scientific and practical skills in establishing shade and nurseries affiliated with the directorate. It also addressed the most important problems facing engineers in their work in these nurseries, and provided advice and guidance to resolve these problems and advance the agricultural sector in Basra Municipality.
Certificates of participation were distributed and honored to the college professors from the Plant Protection and Horticulture and Landscape Engineering departments by the Chief Engineer, Mr. Firas Abdul Khaliq Omran, Acting Director of the Directorate, for delivering scientific lectures during the course. The program included theoretical lectures and practical training to enhance their skills in the fields of urban agriculture, garden management, and pest control, contributing to the development of the city's agricultural landscape and supporting technical personnel in service institutions.
