Under the patronage of the President of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kanani.
The Department of Musical Arts at the College of Fine Arts, University of Basra, held an awareness lecture on national belonging, consolidating Iraqi identity, and rejecting violence and extremism.
It was moderated by the Head of the Musical Arts Department, Dr. Ali Mishari, and presented by Dr. Ayad Ismail, Professor at the College of Science, Basra University, in the presence of a group of students of the department
The lecture included the concept of the meaning of belonging, consolidating identity, commitment to values, rights, and duties that fall upon the citizen.
The lecture aims to reinforce the principles of belonging and consolidate the values of citizenship for all groups of society and to instill the values of loyalty, human and patriotic values, and the citizen's adherence to our antiquities, values and traditions.
The lecture recommended strengthening the values of citizenship and loyalty within the basic national constants based on customs, laws and legislation to enhance security and social peace.
