The University of Basra Organizes a Dialogue Session on the Educational and Humanitarian Lessons of the Arbaeen Pilgrimage
The University of Basra organized a field dialogue session with an educational and humanitarian theme at its service convoy site at the Shalamcheh border crossing, as part of its activities accompanying the Arbaeen Pilgrimage.
The session was attended by the University President, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim, the Dean of the College of Education for the Humanities, Dr. Wissam Juma Lafta, and a number of professors and those interested in cultural and educational affairs.
The session was presented by Dr. Murtada Abbas Faleh and Dr. Ali Al-Asadi, both instructors at the College of Education for the Humanities. The discussion revolved around a number of noble values embodied in the Arbaeen Pilgrimage, most notably altruism, the spirit of volunteerism, social responsibility, and teamwork. Participants emphasized that the Arbaeen pilgrimage is not limited to its religious dimensions alone, but also represents a human experience that embodies the highest values of cooperation, solidarity, and sacrifice, and instills positive behavior in society. They emphasized the need to transform these principles into educational programs and practical initiatives that contribute to building a more aware and cohesive generation.
