A master's thesis from the College of Education at the University of Basra examined digital stress and its relationship to academic engagement among university students.
The study, presented by student Ali Abdul Hassan, aimed to identify the level of digital stress among university students, as well as the level of academic engagement among the same sample, and to explore the nature of the relationship between the two variables.
The thesis examined the impact of the use of modern digital devices, such as smartphones and tablets, on students' academic engagement. The thesis indicated that this technology, despite its significant benefits, may have negative effects, such as fatigue, pressure, or digital stress, which may negatively impact students' academic performance and their ability to actively participate in educational activities
