Dr. Abdul Amir Atallah, Dr. Hussein Ali Hussein, and Dr. Adel Ahmed Abdul Zahra, faculty members from the College of Engineering at the University of Basra, participated in a workshop titled "Concrete in Basra: Challenges and Solutions." The workshop was organized by the Iraqi Concrete Scientific Society and sponsored by Al-Mamas Company. The workshop took place on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Basra Oil Cultural Center.
The workshop included specialized scientific lectures delivered by experts, engineers, and researchers in the field of concrete. Participants discussed the latest scientific and practical trends in concrete treatment and addressing its challenges, in addition to reviewing field experiments and modern technologies used in this field.
The College of Engineering emphasized that the participation of its faculty members comes within the framework of its commitment to openness to scientific and professional activities that contribute to enhancing academic and practical expertise and support the university's pioneering role in serving the community and developing the engineering and construction sector in Iraq.
