Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, President of the University of Basra, inaugurated a new academic building for the College of Dentistry in Al-Zubair District. The opening ceremony was attended by Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani, a number of representatives, members of the Provincial Council, and a group of deans. This comes as part of the university's efforts to expand its educational infrastructure and provide advanced study and research environments.
In a speech delivered at the opening ceremony, the President of the University of Basra emphasized that the project represents a qualitative shift in the path of university education, emphasizing that the new building will provide an integrated academic environment that will contribute to preparing a generation of students with the competence and knowledge to serve the nation.
The Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Asaad Mohammed Kazim, indicated that the opening of the new college came after extensive studies conducted by the University of Basra Presidency, the ultimate goal of which is to advance the academic level and prepare advanced scientific cadres capable of building future generations that will serve our beloved country, Iraq, and the people of Basra Governorate. The opening ceremony included a recitation of a verse from the Holy Quran, a recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs, and the playing of the national anthem. During the ceremony, a presentation was made on the stages that the College of Dentistry has gone through since its establishment.
