The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announces the opening of applications for the elite student admission channel for the academic year 2025/2026.
In compliance with the approved controls, the students included in applying to this channel are graduates of the preparatory study for the academic year 2023/2024 from graduates of the scientific, biological, applied and literary branches, and for the academic year 2024/2025 from graduates of the scientific and literary branches with averages of (90%) and above. Applications are to the faculties of administration and economics within the departments of (Business Administration, Statistics, Public Administration, Industrial Management, Accounting, Economics, Financial and Banking Sciences) and the faculties of law and education. And basic education in universities located within the student’s governorate of residence.
Students in all governorates, graduates of the scientific, biological, and applied branches, are entitled to apply to the specialty of Industrial Management of Oil and Gas/Basra University of Oil and Gas, provided that their average is not less than (92%).
In this regard, the Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up clarifies that the application to this channel continues until Thursday, 10/2/2025, and that the application procedures begin with the student submitting his options via the electronic form in the studies portal (https://dirasat.mohesr.gov.iq) and then the student visits any government university located within his governorate of residence to conduct the interview and test.
